

Maureen ClarryMaureen Clarry regularly consults and teaches on organizational and leadership issues related to information technology and business. Maureen is the CEO / President of CONNECT: The Knowledge Network, a consulting firm that specializes in helping IT people and organizations to achieve their strategic potential in business. CONNECT was recognized as the 2000 South Metro Denver Small Business of the Year, and has been listed in the Top 25 Women Owned Businesses and the Top 150 Privately Owned Businesses in Colorado. Maureen also participates on the Data Warehousing Advisory Board for The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of Denver?s Top Women Business Leaders in 2004. She has been on the faculty of The Data Warehousing Institute since 1997 and has published several articles and white papers including: Ten Mistakes to Avoid When Selecting a Consultant; Aligning BI With Corporate Strategy: A Tactical Perspective; Ten Mistakes to Avoid When Building a IT Team; Predictable Pitfalls, Paths to Partnership; and Ten Mistakes to Avoid When Attempting Business Performance Improvement.
Maureen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems at Colorado State University.
Lorna Rickard
Lorna Rickard has 15 years experience in organizational development,
instructional design and facilitation. Prior to joining CONNECT, Ms.
Rickard served as Director of Culture and Communications for ING Re, then
one of the largest reinsurers in the world. As a member of the Senior
Management Team, she was instrumental in changing the culture and market
position of ING Re, moving company ranking based on revenue from number
four in the industry to number one. While at CONNECT she has been
instrumental in assessing and advising client systems on cross-functional
collaboration and team and organizational effectiveness. She has also
designed, developed and facilitated workshops encompassing a wide range of
topics including building partnership within the organization; creating an
operating agreement (including a team desired state, team purpose/goals,
values, behavior expectations and common terminology); developing
processes for conflict management, change and decision-making; and
facilitating cross-functional groups in prioritizing and gaining
commitment to address the highest impact issues.
Lorna has a B.S. in Investment Finance from California State University, Long Beach.
Bill Casey
Dr. Bill Casey consults in the area of organizational behavior management
specializing in organizational structure design and large project
management. Before co-founding Executive Leadership Group, Inc., he was a
vice president with a subsidiary of Touche Ross.
Bill writes and speaks on management-related topics. He has written both
professional and popular articles on management and has co-authored books
in the areas of psychology, communication, and project management. Bill
co-authored ?Managing for Results,? a monthly column in the Denver
Business Journal, and a contributor to the book, Business Driven
Information Technology: Answers to 100 Critical Questions for Every
Manager, sponsored by the University of Colorado at Denver's College of
Business and published by Stanford University Press.
Bill completed his doctorate in applied behavior analysis at the
University of Kansas, his Masters in Education, and currently serves on
the adjunct faculty of the University of Denver.
Wendi Peck
Wendi Peck consults in the area organizational effectiveness and strategy
implementation. She specializes in aligning structure, programs, processes
and resources in order to achieve organizational objectives. Wendi also
specializes in the related area of large-scale program management. She has
over 20 years experience directing large programs and driving successful
organizational change.
Wendi writes and speaks on management-related topics. Most recently, she co-authored Keys to Project Success, a foundation course in project management. She has contributed to several articles and is currently a co-author of the monthly column, Managing For Results, in the Denver Business Journal.
Wendi received an MBA from the University of Denver and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.
Lorrie Tietze
Lorrie is a strategic, versatile professional with expertise in
manufacturing and engineering. She has Bachelors and Masters Degrees in
Nuclear Engineering. She has managed production operations, implemented
technology globally, and achieved results in 20 different countries. She
is adept at maintaining strong customer relationships, developing
international, multi-functional teams, and quickly learns new, fast-paced,
challenging environments. She has well-developed communication and
problem solving skills and the ability to resolve difficult situations and
complex problems by synthesizing integrated solutions.
Lorrie's background includes 17 years in production, engineering, and
project management for a global Fortune 30 company where she delivered $20
million in savings while also achieving benchmark health and safety and
environmental results for a $5.5 billion business. She has consulted with
Fortune 500 Companies, Mid-Tier Companies, and Not-For-Profit
Organizations. Lorrie also serves as the Alliance Chairperson for the
Women Business Executives Board, is a youth volleyball coach, and an
accompanist to several youth orchestras.
Amy Smith is a consultant with broad expertise and over fifteen years of experience in employee development and organizational issues. Since 1998, Amy has been the founder of Vast Learning Design, providing innovative and meaningful consulting services in the areas of personal and organizational development. Prior to that, Amy served as lead instructional designer and project manager at International Learning Systems where she managed numerous large-scale organizational change and training projects for Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her career, Amy has managed, designed, developed and facilitated course curriculum and materials for a wide range of organizations and industries. Her work includes simulations and high-energy experiential activities for the areas of sales, sales management, negotiation, customer service, employee empowerment, new employee orientation, and leadership. Amy?s experience includes initiatives focused on both technical and non-technical course content.
Amy earned her B.A. Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Colorado, majoring in Psychology and Communication. In addition, Amy holds an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Master of Divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver .
Dan Montgomery
Dan Montgomery, CMC, is President of Blue Opal Strategies LLC, a
training, coaching and consulting firm. Dan actively seeks out and
translates innovative tools and perspectives in the areas of corporate
performance, organizational leadership, collective intelligence, and
systems thinking, making them practical and accessible for business leaders and
managers. Dan's career has reflected this holistic perspective, including
work in the areas of human resources, information technology, process
improvement and strategic planning. His work includes a major focus on
identifying internal measures that help organizations align around and
deliver on their brand promise, and has trained and consulted extensively
on the Balanced Scorecard.
Dan has had experience in a variety of industries, including technology startups, health care delivery, telecommunications, economic development, and government. He was worked in senior consulting positions with both Accenture and Ernst & Young Consulting. Dan is an MBA graduate of CU Business School, obtained a Master's in Psychology from Naropa University, and is a graduate of Newfield Networks' Coaching program.
