We are currently seeking a senior-level Business Objects Developer for a full-time, permanent position with our client located in Downtown Denver. This Developer will be a strategic player in the development of decision support solutions for a global organization by administering the Business Objects environment, developing and maintaining semantic layer and metadata, and creating and maintaining reports. Other responsibilities may include:

Coach customers through requirements gathering, recommend best practices, capture/analyze business needs and customers’ strategic information requirements, and define optimum systems requirements to meet these needs.
Develop designs (functional and technical) for the decision support solutions.
Define and create system objects required by the design.
Support production systems as required by optimizing performance, resolving production problems, and providing timely follow-up on problem reports. Performance tune common online warehouse queries.
Focus on data quality and ensure data integrity exist for all Decision Support Deliverables.
Creates documentation and provides second-line support to power users who develop reports on behalf of their departmental colleagues.

Ideal candidates will have all of the following training/experience:
BA/BS in IT, computer science, or related field, or 5+ years related hands-on work experience
5+ years working with Business Objects, with particular experience in Business Objects XI Universe, WebI, and Crystal development
Strong experience with data warehouse and software development methodologies, relational and dimensional database skills, and design skills
Team leadership experience
