Qualifications:   

3-6 month contract to hire position in Las Vegas.

Job Summary: Expert in Forms and Reports, PL/SQL, database design / data modeling, working knowledge of Pervasive (or another ETL tool), Linux / Unix scripting, ApEx, worked the entire software development lifecycle. Responsible for designing and developing new applications or major enhancements and fixes to existing applications. Acts as a technical expert, addressing problems of system integration, compatibility, and data integrity. Responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions. Provides recommendations for application and system improvements. Has a strong software development knowledge using a variety of Oracle technologies including PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, and Apex. Works with peers and Senior Business Analyst to create project specifications and determine implementation strategy and details. Expected to participate in complete project lifecycle up to including project completion. Exposure to a variety of project methodologies including Scrum, Agile, Waterfall and ad-hoc methods.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Design, review, analyze, develop, implement and maintains complex software applications.
2. Work closely with Senior Business Analyst to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs.
3. Maintain current applications which include, but are not limited to, bug fixes, feature enhancements and performance tuning.
4. Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implements solutions.
5. Work with team to create detailed project specifications, requirements and estimates.
6. Research and implement new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance.
7. Document validation of design decisions.
8. Develop coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines.

Qualifications:
●Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area or equivalent combined experience.
●PL/SQL: 10+yrs
●Forms 6i/10g: 10+yrs
●Reports 6i/10g: 5+yrs
●Oracle 10g/11g: 5+yrs
●Linux exposure, do the basics
●Apex 3.2/4.0: 1+yrs
●Software development lifecycle: 5+yrs
●Database design: 5+yrs
●Developer mentality
●Troubleshooter

Nice to haves:
●Perl
●Pervasive or any ETL tool
●Ability to scrutinize applications to ensure they adhere to security standards.
●Willingness to guide and willingness to learn.
●Excellent verbal and written communication.
